Storage and Handling
Fresh, ripe blueberries should be kept covered in the refrigerator. They should last for about a week as long as you don’t wash them before you put them away. As with most fruits and vegetables, wash just before using so that the water does not break down the skins and cause rot or mold. You can easily freeze blueberries by spreading them one layer thick on a pan, freeze, and then bag. The texture and color will change slightly but you will be able to enjoy the taste and health benefits long after they are out of season!
