Cucumber Recipes

Farmer Pete ususally grows two varities of cucumbers on Ambrose Farm; slicing and pickling. You will find both equally delicious.

Cucumbers are a good source of vitamin C & A, and potassium. Their skins contain compounds called sterols which have been shown to lower cholesterol in animals. They are also known for their role as a digestive aid.

Cucumbers can be used in so many ways.....our favorite is sliced on a veggie platter or in a green salad. We also love to slice, spice, soak in vinegar and chill for a perfect summer salad!

Storage Since you will not be getting waxed cucumbers from our farm(hooray!) you will want to store them in a bag on the refrigerator shelf. This will ensure that they don't loose too much of their moisture and won't get too cold.
