Strawberry plants at Ambrose Family Farm

The weather has been perfect for growing. Saturday, April 1 is the opening of the U-Pick harvest. Bring the family, picnic lunch, dog on a leash, grandma, and come spend the day.

Absolute beauty in the eyes of the farmer.

We'll need all the help we can get picking these berries. WOW. What a crop. The early berries hold up so well because they have not been 'baked' in the sun, but of course, there are not quite as many.

Sure is neat and clean.

The heaviest production is in late April to mid-May. The berries you see here will be harvested by some lucky soul by April 10, but not to worry, there are lots more coming that we cannot see in these pictures.

Take a look at these beautiful Spring Vidalia Onions we are pulling. They are available at the Market.

Sweet Spring Vidalia Onions.
