Superfoods



Superfoods are fruits and vegetables that are full of antioxidants. It’s believed that antioxidants can neutralize free radicals, therefore, being helpful in fighting cancer, heart disease, lowering cholesterol, aiding the digestive system and many other benefits. Some of the antioxidants that you may be familiar with include vitamins A, C, E, and Beta-Carotene, the mineral selenium, and plant pigments such as lutein. Rather than relying on supplements that contain antioxidants, it's better if you get them from whole food sources since foods high in antioxidants also typically offer many other health benefits, such as being high in fiber, protein, and other vitamins and minerals.

Dark Leafy Green (Kale, Collards, Mustard Greens)
